Why is it so important to Volunteer?
Non-profit organizations operate, for the most part, through the efforts of their dedicated Volunteers. This is how Variety, the Childrenšs Charity of Alberta operates. Volunteers are the most valuable asset we have. They ensure the success of an assortment of activities, events and fundraising initiatives. Volunteers are the leaders who work collectively by showing that they care and by participating in meaningful activities in their communities. You become an important member of a team with a purpose and goals to accomplish. This is where you can get such a wonderful sense of fulfillment and satisfaction. Knowing that you have done something positive to help make this a better community and a better province is just one aspect of it. You can give something back, you can make a difference! Volunteering is a fulfilling experience regardless of how you want to be involved. Your knowledge, skill, talent and support can change lives. You can meet new people, experience new things and share your special talents. You can have the reward of knowing that you were directly responsible for the lasting positive effect on the lives of special needs children in your community.
Currently we are recruiting Executive Board Members, Committee Leaders and Football Program Distributors for all the Stamps Home Games. We need you to participate, coordinate current fundraisers and organize new projects
